Mother-in-laws Tongue

(Sansevieria trifasciata)

This succulent is one of the easiest plants to take care of and is one of the best air cleaners.

Placement

Choose a pot that has a good drainage hole. Terracotta pots are ideal as they allow the soil to dry out more quickly. Pot (or repot) with succulent mix. They prefer bright, indirect light but can tolerate low light as well (they will just grow more slowly).

Watering

Water at the soil level if possible (not onto leaves). Let the soil mostly dry out between waterings, over watering them will cause root rot. Water far less often in the winter or if the room is cold - best to keep checking the soil for how damp/dry it is.

Fertiliser

It doesn't require it, but to encourage fast growth, liquid fertilise once in the spring and once in the summer with ican Fast Food.
