May Flower Garden

  • This is your last opportunity to plant Spring Bulbs.

  • Spray evergreen trees, shrubs and fruits with Enspray Oil to control any scales, aphids or mites which may appear over winter. Take the time to rake up old leaves too as the insects hide in these and will make their way back into your shrubs/hedge during winter and the cycle will begin again.

  • Lily bulbs are in soon, plant May-July.

  • Divide perennials and replant.

  • New season camellias and daphne are in stock this month – great time to find the perfect plant.

  • Prune summer flowering shrubs now. Any spring flowering shrubs should have been pruned pre-January. Do NOT prune any spring flowering shrubs as you risk removing flower bud.

  • Feed Lawns with Tui Lawn Fertiliser to boost growth.

  • Plant Autumn and Winter flowering annuals – pansies, polyanthus, primulas, stock and give them an instant feed with Tui Flower Booster.
