September Flower Garden  

· Fertilise roses with Novatec for an instant boost of nutrients.

· Plant new perennials, taking care of tender plants until frosts are finished

· Feed early spring flowers with ican Fast Food to prolong blooms.

· Feed spring flowering bulbs with Tui Bulb Food.

· Spray roses with Combat to protect them from pests and diseases and feeds them at the same time!

· Plant seedlings of pansies, snapdragon, carnations, forget-me-not, and delphiniums in frosty areas.  Lobelia, begonia, marigold, salvia, cosmos in warm spots.

· Protect young flowering annuals with Quash.

· Plant up or replant containers and hanging baskets with new season’s flowering annuals.

· Apply Tui Lawn Fertiliser to stimulate new growth.

·Prepare and sow new lawns and kill any lawn weeds with Yates Turfix.

September Edible Garden

· Plant out seedlings of broccoli, beetroot, cabbages, capsicum, carrots, cauliflowers, melons, onions, peas, parsnip, radish, spinach and silverbeet.

· Dig in plenty of Grocom compost, Tui general fertiliser and sheep pellets into vege gardens to prepare for spring planting.

· Sow seeds of carrots, parsnip, beetroot, silverbeet, peas, swede and turnips.  In a green house sow tomato, capsicum, courgette, cucumber, pumpkin and eggplant.

· Plant/sprout seed potatoes.

· Feed strawberries with Tui Strawberry Food.

· Fertilise all fruit trees with Tui Citrus Fertiliser.

· Protect young seedlings from slugs and snails with Slug Slam.  If you have pets use Quash, it’s pet-safe.

· Spray fruit trees with Enspray Freeflo Copper.

· Prune Passionfruit vines and Feijoas to encourage new growth and fruiting.
